Before founding Hedgehog Hosting, Jeff Chanesman served as the Director of Hosting for Commerce One. He is highly skilled in the administration of major web hosting platforms including many different varieties of UNIX and Windows operating systems. Jeff is currently MCSE certified and is in the final stages of completing his CCNP. As the network engineer and Sys Admin for AppNet, Jeff utilized his skills to maintain and run their web hosting services prior to their acquisition by Commerce One. Jeff has strong knowledge in a variety of web hosting network systems and architectures. He also has experience with a wide range of network administration issues including help desk support, platform support, extensive LAN/WAN design and implementation, facilities building and maintenance, major switching and routing technologies and many other Internet related protocols. Outside the office Jeff is active with NovaLabs where he has held numerous positions. He is currently the Shop Steward and teaches woodworking, embroidery and sewing.
Before joining Hedgehog Hosting, Chris Miceli was head of Technical Client Services for Commerce One's Mid-Atlantic division. Along with his team, he provided 24x7x365 application-level support to over 100 clients. At Commerce One, Chris was responsible for managing several major hosting projects, including the physical migration of 70+ production machines between facilities with an average uptime of over 99.5%. Chris also has a strong background in Web programming, using languages such as Perl, C/C++, and Java. He has extensive experience configuring and managing several different hardware/software platforms, including systems running multiple flavors of Unix and Windows. Currently Chris supports the day-to-day operational needs of all Hedgehog's clients and is primarily responsible for securing their edge of network services and security. Chris graduated with High Distinction from George Mason University's School of Information Technology and Engineering with a BS in Computer Science.
Amanda Bean has a wealth of experience in project management and operations. At Commerce One, Amanda focused on the Project and Client Management of their many web hosting clients. She also played an integral part in the structure and development of their web hosting operations and eventually in the development of a migration plan away from their web hosting services. Her communications skills were evident in her functional role as Project Leader for many large web hosting clients. Her knowledge of help desk support and the resources necessary to run a successful web hosting business are what have fueled the development of Hedgehog Hosting. Currenlty Amanda runs a major portion of the back-office functionality that keeps Hedgehog operating on a daily basis . She takes an active role mentoring young women in technology and promoting STEM as a viable and exciting carreer for these young women. She is active with the Girl Scouts and she graduated Cum Laude from Harvard with a BA in English literature and language.
Richard Feller has been working in the Internet infrastructure industry since early 1995. His career started as one of the first employees of ServInt Internet Services, which during his time there grew to one of the largest web hosting providers of the time. After leaving ServInt in 2000, Richard was charged with managing the restructuring and integration of Digiweb, a division of Interliant Web Hosting, and after successfully managing the primary aspects of that restructuring, Richard and his partners founded Hedgehog Hosting in early 2001. In late 2016, Richard and the team launched a new division of the company called Hedgehog Technology Services. This branch of services focuses on supporting and maintaining legacy systems while preparing to move these architectures into current cloud environments. Richard is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Internet Infrastructure Coalition and he sits on the Board of the Small Business Council and the Board of Industry Leaders for the Consumer Technology Association.
